defense & aerospace

Defense and aerospace programs continue to place greater emphasis on secure supply chains, domestic manufacturing capacity, traceability, and production readiness.

Gromax supports precision stamped and formed components for defense and aerospace applications where repeatable geometry, electrical performance, mechanical retention, shielding, traceability, and controlled production matter.

where our stampings fit

Defense and aerospace systems rely on precision stampings across electrical, mechanical, sensing, communication, and control assemblies.

Part requirements vary by operating environment, function, loading, packaging, materials, qualification, and program-specific specifications.

key design & manufacturing requirements

Defense and aerospace stampings should be evaluated within the complete electrical, mechanical, and environmental system.

Gromax can review those interactions early, before production tooling begins.

Gold, silver, nickel, tin, or other specified finishes may support conductivity, corrosion resistance, solderability, wear performance, or low-level signal requirements.

Spring contacts, clips, retainers, and locking features require controlled material temper, bend geometry, deflection, contact force, and recovery.

Shielding covers, grounding tabs, spring fingers, and chassis contacts depend on conductive continuity, contact pressure, enclosure geometry, and reliable mechanical engagement.

Small features, narrow sections, formed offsets, close positional relationships, and limited packaging space can make tooling and process control especially important.

quality, compliance & production support

Defense and aerospace programs require controlled materials, documented inspection, traceability, and disciplined processes throughout production.

Verify contact position, formed height, hole location, profile, spring geometry, terminal position, and other features that affect fit, function, or assembly.

Review alloy, temper, plating, coating thickness, lot identification, certification requirements, and specified surface condition.

Use application-specific fixtures where contact alignment, spring engagement, formed position, or assembly relationships are difficult to verify through standard measurement alone.

Support production with progressive-die maintenance, dimensional monitoring, burr control, forming review, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.

Support FAI, capability studies, control plans, inspection records, material certifications, special-process documentation, lot traceability, and other customer-defined approval requirements.

Gromax is actively working toward AS9100 certification, building on its ISO 9001:2015 quality system and experience supporting defense and aerospace programs.

We can support customer-defined aerospace requirements for traceability, first-article inspection, material certification, process control, and supplier-quality flow-downs while that certification effort is underway
