key design & manufacturing requirements

Electrical stampings should be evaluated as part of the complete current path and mechanical assembly.

Gromax can review these relationships before production tooling begins.

Material conductivity, conductor cross-section, length, bends, and reduced areas influence electrical resistance and heat generation.

Contact area, alignment, surface condition, normal force, and finish affect connection resistance and can contribute to localized heating.

Copper and copper alloys are common for current-carrying components, while brass, stainless steel, and spring alloys may be selected where strength, elasticity, corrosion resistance, or retention are more important.

Tin, nickel, silver, gold, or other specified finishes may support contact performance, solderability, corrosion resistance, or wear requirements.

Temperature rise depends on conductor geometry, joint resistance, current, duty cycle, ambient conditions, and cooling—not conductor width and thickness alone.

Bend geometry, springback, hole position, terminal location, burr direction, and formed height can directly affect connection, alignment, and assembly repeatability.

quality, compliance & production support

Electrical and power programs often require consistent control of material, geometry, plating, inspection, and traceability.

Gromax operates under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system and supports ITAR-controlled programs where applicable.

Verify conductor width, thickness, hole position, terminal geometry, formed height, contact location, and other features that affect fit or electrical function.

Review alloy, temper, plating, coating thickness, lot identification, and specified surface requirements.

Use application-specific fixtures where terminal alignment, busbar position, contact geometry, or assembly relationships are difficult to measure directly.

Support production with progressive-die maintenance, dimensional monitoring, burr control, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.

Support PPAP, FAI, capability studies, control plans, traceability, inspection records, and other customer-defined documentation where required.
