industrial automation

U.S. automation investment continues to grow, with 38,000 industrial robots installed in 2025—up 11% year over year.

Gromax supports precision stamped and formed components for industrial automation equipment where electrical connection, spring performance, mechanical retention, shielding, and repeatable assembly matter.

where our stampings fit

Industrial automation systems use precision stampings across motion, sensing, control, power distribution, and equipment interfaces.

Part requirements vary with electrical function, load, cycle rate, vibration, environment, packaging, and assembly method.

key design & manufacturing requirements

Industrial automation stampings should be evaluated within the complete electrical, mechanical, and motion-control system.

Gromax can review those interactions early, before production tooling begins.

Contacts, terminals, and busbars require controlled geometry, contact area, alignment, and finish to support reliable current and signal transfer.

Spring contacts, clips, and retainers depend on material temper, bend geometry, deflection, contact force, and recovery over repeated cycles.

Copper alloys, brass, stainless steel, beryllium copper, cold-rolled steel, and other materials may be selected according to conductivity, strength, fatigue resistance, corrosion exposure, and wear.

Tin, nickel, gold, silver, or other specified finishes may support conductivity, solderability, corrosion resistance, wear life, or repeated mating.

Hole location, bend angle, formed height, tab geometry, burr direction, and retention features can directly affect alignment, fastening, and assembly repeatability.

Components used near motors, conveyors, robotic joints, and moving equipment must maintain fit and contact under vibration, cycling, and normal production variation.

quality, compliance & production support

Industrial automation programs often require consistent control of dimensions, formed geometry, contact position, material, plating, and tooling condition over long production runs.

Verify terminal position, hole location, formed height, contact geometry, pin profile, bracket alignment, and other features that affect fit or function.

Review alloy, temper, plating, coating thickness, lot identification, and specified surface requirements.

Use application-specific fixtures where contact alignment, bracket position, pin geometry, or assembly relationships are difficult to verify with standard measurement alone.

Support production with progressive-die maintenance, dimensional monitoring, burr control, forming review, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.

Support PPAP, FAI, capability studies, control plans, traceability, inspection records, and other customer-defined documentation where required.
