reviews

We review what the part does in the assembly, including contact, retention, grounding, shielding, alignment, spring force, fit, or structural support.

Critical features are separated from requirements that may not affect actual function.

Pierces, bends, forms, tabs, lances, embossments, coined areas, extrusions, and cutoff features are reviewed for tooling complexity and repeatability.

Tolerance and datum requirements are checked for their effect on tooling, inspection, scrap, and maintenance.

Material grade, thickness, temper, conductivity, strength, formability, corrosion resistance, availability, and coil utilization are reviewed together.

Plating type, thickness, coverage, masking, solderability, and post-finish handling are checked against actual electrical, corrosion, and fit requirements.

Die condition, strip layout, station progression, press time, sensors, maintenance access, scrap removal, and part handling are reviewed for avoidable downtime and waste.

Machining, tapping, deburring, cleaning, plating, hardware insertion, assembly, sorting, and inspection are reviewed to determine whether steps can be reduced, combined, automated, or moved into the stamping process.

Packaging, orientation, lot size, freight, outside processing, and supplier handoffs are reviewed for damage, delay, excess handling, and hidden recurring cost.
