Built on Precision. Driven by Performance.
Gromax started in 1973 when Gus Aulis and Ron Okonek began helping major OEMs solve complex tooling challenges.
What began as design and drafting grew into full manufacturing. In 1981, Max Limmer joined, completing the Gromax name and helping expand the company into in-house tooling and stamping.
Today, we support OEMs in electronics, medical, defense, power, and industrial markets. Many customers have been with us for decades. We also invest in apprenticeship programs with local schools to carry forward precision craftsmanship alongside modern automation.
• U.S.-based precision metal stamping manufacturer
• Progressive die stamping for high-volume programs
• Tolerances down to ±0.0015″ on qualifying features
• In-house tooling and custom gaging support
• Secondary operations, assemblies, and kitting
• Broad material capability including copper alloys, stainless, brass, BeCu, CRS, and nickel silver
• Ultra-thin and foil-capable programs where applicable
We don’t just quote the print. We look at what can create trouble in production—tool wear, burr direction, plating stack-up, molded interfaces, handling damage, and datum strategy.
You’ll get practical feedback including:
• DFM notes
• CTQ focus
• datum and gage recommendations
• a production-ready approach based on real risk
We keep the critical loop connected:
• progressive die stamping for production volumes
• in-house tool & die support
• custom inspection gages built around functional requirements
• secondary operations, assemblies, and packaging/kitting
That means fewer handoffs, faster correction when something shifts, and measurement you can trust.
• ISO 9001:2015 certified
• ITAR-supported / registered where applicable
• CAGE/NCAGE: 77J36
• Traceability, revision control, and documented inspection support
• Apprenticeship investment that supports long-term tooling and manufacturing capability
