about GROMAX

Built on Precision. Driven by Performance.

Our Story

Gromax began in 1973 when founders Gus Aulis and Ron Okonek set out to help major OEMs solve complex tooling challenges faster.

What started as design and drafting quickly grew—customers wanted the parts, too. In 1981, Max Limmer joined, completing “Gromax” and expanding into full in‑house tooling and stamping. That move—from design service to fully integrated manufacturer—still defines us.

Decades later, we’re a trusted partner to global OEMs in electronics, medical, defense, power, and industrial systems—many with us since the early days. We keep the craft alive through a hands‑on apprenticeship program with local schools, pairing old‑world precision with modern automation.

How We Work

We align DFM, tooling, stamping, and gaging so the part you approve on paper is the same one that runs at rate. Keeping every process in‑house eliminates the gaps that drive variation, delay, and cost.

Closed‑loop manufacturing
Print → Die design → Tryout → Stamping → Validation—connected, verified, traceable.

Compliance

ISO 9001:2015 Certified — documented processes, continuous improvement, traceable results.

ITAR Registered & DFARS Compliant — secure data handling and export‑control compliance.

CAGE Code 77J36 — verified supplier to U.S. defense/aerospace programs.

PMA Member — active in advancing precision metalforming.

Made in USA

Every Gromax part is built here in Wisconsin using U.S.‑sourced materials and partners.

We don’t outsource quality—we build it ourselves. That’s how we keep every part traceable, compliant, and capable—and why we’re proud to stamp Made in the USA on everything we deliver.
